Osteopathy

What Is Osteopathy?

Osteopathic treatments focus on the body as a whole, with the goal of bringing it back into balance and facilitating the health of all layers of structure in the body, not just the joints and muscles. It does this through non-invasive manual therapy, healing to strengthen the framework of the body, and support the bodies healing processes.

Osteopathy involves 3 main ideas:

  1. The body is a dynamic unit of function

  2. The body, when healthy, can self-heal and self-regulate naturally

  3. Structure governs function, and function governs structure.

Osteopathic Manual Practitioners gently release the tension from muscle, ligaments, tendons, bones, fascia, and organs, providing freedom for proper communication between the nervous system, circulatory system, and lymphatic system. Every treatment is customized to each individual based on their individual needs at the time of treatment. Osteopathy treatments often will alleviate the symptoms while simultaneously treating the cause and ultimately the root of your pain.
